Your Spotify Jams (Don't Pretend You Don't Have Guilty Pleasures)
The Spotify Library Shenanigans
Yo, the Spotify Library screen? It's basically your golden ticket to mashing Spotify tracks into your OnSong songs. Snag all your saved bangers, creep on artists you're lowkey obsessed with in Your Music, & search literally every song that's ever existed by title, artist, or album. ZOMG.
The "Please Sign In" Moment
Haven't signed in yet? Cool cool. You'll either get a Spotify login screen pop up inside OnSong (convenient!), or if you're fancy enough to have the Spotify app already installed, it'll yeet you over there for the ~automatic authentication~ experience.
No Spotify account? Srsly? Go make one at spotify.com or flex your Facebook login on the Open Says Me Screen. Problem solved, bestie.
Spotify Library (aka The Tab Buffet)
Alright, so you finally got authenticated (congrats on having a password you remember). Here's the menu of musical choices that'll make your life "easier":
Your Jam Collections — dig through every playlist you've ever made in Spotify like you're mining for gold.
Your Saved Bangers — peep literally every track sitting in Your Music under your Spotify account. All of them. Wow.
Awesome Peeps You're Creeping On — see every artist you've got on lock.
Album Hoarding Central — flexin' all the albums chillin' in Your Music under your Spotify account.
The Search Void — throw literally any track, artist, or album into the void & hope something comes back.
Heads up: There's an X button in the top right corner. Use it when this madness gets too real.
The Audio Playback Plot Twist
So here's where it gets spicy. Newer OnSong versions use the latest Spotify SDK (they love breaking things, we love complaining), & it changed the whole audio situation. Instead of OnSong actually playing the music (lame), the Spotify app handles it through some remote-control wizardry. But PLOT TWIST—because the SDK is basically a temperamental toddler, you gotta open the Spotify app before hitting play to make sure everything's authenticated & ready to jam. It's not annoying at all, right?
