Copy-Paste Oopsies

When you import files into OnSong, the filename you originally yoinked gets locked in like your high school yearbook photo. That filename is basically the file's DNA — it's how OnSong knows who's who.

Browsing for files to import? Yeah, those ghosted-out files? That's OnSong's way of saying "psst, we've seen this one before." When you try to import one or more files with the same original filename, OnSong's gonna flip out & give you one of these baller options:

Update

Wanna overwrite the old file with the shiny new version? This is your jam. Say you imported a PDF, tweaked it, then imported it again with Update? BOOM. New file replaces old file. OnSong displays the glow-up.

Duplicate

OMG, you wanna keep both versions but they got the same name? Say no more. This option lets you import songs with identical filenames but treats 'em as totally different songs. It's like having two Steves in the contact list.

Skip

Yeah, no thanks. This skips over files you've already yoinked. Perfect if you're like "nah, don't touch my old stuff" but you still wanna grab the new hotness.

Cancel

"Abort mission!" This nukes the whole import thing & lets you pick & choose your files all over again.
