Read The Bleepin’ Manual

The Stuff You Printed Out

These settings define how text-based charts are laid out on the virtual page. (AKA: "Make your lyrics look less like a bleepin' mess.")

Tint (aka Color Vomit Settings)

The tint is used as a translucent overlay to otherwise black and white text. This can be used to tint colors for those with visual stress disorders to improve reading or to reduce eye strain. (Translation: We threw some color on it so your eyeballs don't explode. You're welcome.)

Dark Color (The Spooky Stuff)

This color will be blended with any black "ink" on the page to colorize it. Default is transparent. (It's like Instagram filters, but for your chords. Totes revolutionary.)

Light Color (The Bright & Shiny)

This color will be blended with any white color on the page to colorize it. Default it transparent. (Make the background less boring. Live a little, y'know?)

Low Light Mode (Nighttime Ninja Mode)

Determines if low light mode is enabled on the document. Default is off. (For when you're playing in a dark room & squinting like you're deciphering ancient runes.)

Font (Pick Your Fancy Letters)

This is the default font to use for new charts. (Because Comic Sans would make us all cry.)

Font Family (The Lineup)

You can select between common font styles including: Serif, Sans-Serif, Monospaced and Handwritten which on most devices translates to Georgia, Helvetica (Default), Courier, and Marker Felt. (Basically: Fancy, Clean, Robot-y, or "My Kid Wrote It".)

Line Spacing (Don't Cramp My Style)

This allows you to adjust the distance between lines of text. The range that can be selected is 0.7 to 1.3. Default is 1.0. (Wanna see your lyrics crushed together like sardines? Or floatin' around like lonely clouds? Pick a number, chief.)

Layout (How to Stack Your Mess)

This section determines how text is arranged on the page. Options include:

Pagination (One Page or a Freakin' Novel?)

This determines if text-based documents should be broken into the physical paper size or expand to be on a single, scrollable page. Options include: Single Page (default) and Multiple Pages. (Do you want a nice neat stack? Or one infinitely long scroll of doom?)

Columns (The Great Divide)

This setting allows you to determine the default number of columns. Choose between 1 (Default) and 2 columns. (One column = Normal. Two columns = You think you're fancy.)

Gutter (The Awkward Space Between)

This is the width of the whitespace to place between columns when there is more than one. Default is 1/2" and options include measurements from None to 1" in 1/8" increments. (How much breathing room do your columns need? We got you.)

Paper (The Virtual Napkin)

This section defines the default sheet of virtual paper used to determine the size of elements as well as printing. Options include:

Paper Size (ZOMG So Many Choices!)

This lets you choose the size of the paper to draw the chart. Options include:

  • Letter - 8.5" x 11" (Default) (The "I'm boring & American" special)
  • Folio - 8.5" x 13" (The "I'm slightly less boring" option)
  • Legal - 8.5" x 14" (For when your lyrics are a actual legal document. Srsly.)
  • Tabloid - 11" x 17" (Go BIG or go home, amirite?)
  • A5 - 148mm x 210mm (International tiny)
  • A4 - 210mm x 297mm (International normal)
  • A3 - 297mm x 420mm (International "whoa")
  • A2 - 420mm x 594mm (International ZOMG HUGE)

Paper Orientation (Tall or Wide? You Decide!)

This is the orientation of the paper used to render the song. Options include: Portrait (Default) or Landscape. (Pick portrait if you're boring. Pick landscape if you're bougie.)

Margins (Personal Space for Your Lyrics)

This lets you choose the default margins for the paper. This is between 0" and 1-1/2" in 1/8" or 1/4" increments. Default is 3/4". (How much of a hug does your paper need? We got all the options.)

This sections dictates how the footer of the song appears by default. (AKA: That tiny text at the bottom nobody reads.)

This slider allows you to determine the relative font size of the footer compared to the lyric size of the chart. This can be between 0-100%. Default is 75%. (Squint-o-meter: activated.)

This switch determines if the footer is outputted. (Footer? More like "Footer? NOPE.")

Include Page Numbers (Are We Numbering Things Now?)

This determines if page numbers are outputted in the footer. (So you know which page you're cryin' on.)

Text (Your Vanity Plate)

This allow you to add additional text to the footer. (Add your name, your band, your manifesto — we don't judge.)
