The OnSong® AuxBox™ is designed to be an easy-to-use hub to simply your stage presence. Let's review how to setup your AuxBox™ and get jammin'!

Setup

To use your AuxBox™, simply connect it to the USB-C port on your device. Locate the USB cable provided in the box and plug it into the HOST port at the rear of the AuxBox™. Next, connect the other end to the port on your device. AuxBox™ works with any device that supports a USB hub over USB-C. That's it! You're ready to start using your AuxBox™.

Power

While your AuxBox™ works without any additional cables, you will want to connect it to power if you'd like to charge your host device. AuxBox™ is designed to be at home on your standard guitar pedalboard, so we've added a standard 9-volt power connector on the right side. Connect this to your pedalboard power supply, or use the included 9-volt power cable. When connected to power, AuxBox™ will charge the host device so you never worry about losing juice.

Pedals

AuxBox™ comes with two, stomp-style switches on top, giving you control of your host device. If you're using the OnSong® app, you'll be able to scroll through songs and navigate your sets right out of the box. You can also configure other actions, including double-tap actions for each switch using the Actions Editor.

Digital Direct Box

AuxBox™ gives you the power of a digital direct box letting you use the host device for audio output. Whether you're playing simple backing tracks, mixing multitracks, or creating soundscapes in powerful synthesizers and samplers, AuxBox™ has your back. Digital audio is set from your host device to AuxBox™ over the USB-C cable and then converted into analog signals. Connect your PA system or speaker to the AuxBox™ using the left/right XLR/instrument cable outputs on the right side.

Instrument Input

Also on the right side of AuxBox™ you'll find a 1/4" instrument input jack. This lets you plug an instrument like a guitar into your AuxBox™. Those analog signals are converted into digital audio and sent to your host device as an audio input, allowing the OnSong® app or other third-party apps to use that signal. This works great whether you're tuning your guitar or using virtual pedalboards or amp simulators to enable your sound.

HDMI Video

AuxBox™ gives you even more ways to connect with your audience and the band through video. For instance, the OnSong™ app can output lyrics for congregational singing an audience interaction. Not only that, but it can display music videos, motion backgrounds, or even live video from cameras! Simply connect an HDMI video cable to the left side of AuxBox™ and enjoy up to 4K video support.

In addition, the OnSong® app can be used to power stage monitors. This displays chord charts or sheet music and is often used with confidence monitors on the stage floor, or projected on the rear wall. With Multiple Video Output and an HDMI wall processor, you can even output up to 4 different video streams from the OnSong® app and run the entire stage without expensive hardware or media volunteers.

USB Peripherals

Not only does AuxBox™ already do so much, but it can be expanded to do even more. On the left side you'll find a USB-C and USB-A port. This can be used to further expand capabilities. For instance, use a CME C2MIDI Pro cable to connect guitar pedals, processors, keyboards, and more.
