OnSong 2026.3

OnSong 2026.3 has has not yet been released. The following items have been added, changed or fixed:

Additions

  • Added the ability to apply PDF chord transposition on non-text documents.
  • Added the ability to detect the key of a song from its chords using music theory analysis.
  • Added the ability for OnSong Along to be toggled on and off from the song page.

Changes

  • Changed the sign in screen to require email address to be retyped to confirm account creation.
  • Changed the Clean Library tool to run in the background with a progress indicator instead of locking up the app on large libraries.
  • Changed PDF transposition to process the chart in the background so the menu remains responsive.
  • Changed various top level menus to be more compatible with large text accessibility settings.
  • Changed the backup process to check for enough free space and reports any issues encountered creating the backup file.
  • Changed the chord diagram playback engine to use the new build-in soundbank to reduce file size.
  • Changed how tempo works with a backing track, based on the choice you make when a track tempo differs from a song.
  • Changed the Settings screen to feature sections as a drawer instead of the bookmarks menu that scrolls a long list.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where the scenes selection menu cannot be closed without selecting a scene.
  • Fixed an issue where moving from system to song doesn't work in style preferences menu.
  • Fixed an issue where drawings are shifted due to differences in linespacing adjustments in the new renderer.
  • Fixed an issue where slash chords and minor chord designations are dropped during rendering from numeric chord content.
  • Fixed an issue where transposing chords with flat symbols does not work in the new renderer.

Removals

  • Removed the local network option from the enable advanced options onboarding screen on macOS.
  • Removed the option to remove unused files when cleaning the library, as it could delete files that were still in use in legacy libraries.
